NFL WEEK 1 | Cowboys gonna Cowboy

What a start to the NFL season, some great games and some duds. I will say I am not a big NFL fan so I have no favorite team to root for. I only watch when I have money on the line. The game shown above was a bunch of garbage that I got screwed by when betting. I was rooting for Dak and TB12 to have big games and they did not come close. The cowboys offense was a joke and then to add salt to the wound Dak is hurt once again. I am convinced that Jerry Jones killed a black cat, broke a mirror, or dropped a baby because the cowboys have not been relevant since Clinton was getting blowies in the Oval Office. I have lots of friends that are cowboys fans and at this point I just feel sorry for them. They are looking at another lost season and it is only week 1. Now to see what else happened around the NFL.

Baker Mayfield did not help his “ I am an NFL quarterback” case. Granted the panthers suck, like really bad, but Mayfield played pretty bad for most of the game. The Browns were lucky to win that one and should pretty much be toast again this year. I will say it is karma for signing Deshaun “ i did nothing wrong” Watson to the biggest guaranteed contract in NFL history. It just goes to show that it doesn’t matter what you do, if you’re a good athlete the NFL will hire you.

The Packers shit the bed again and look way out of sync. Here is a novel concept maybe play part of a preseason game and you might not look like dog shit come week 1. I am sure they will turn it around and lose in the first round of the playoffs again.

I was really interested in watching the Kyler Murray vs Patrick Mahomes battle. What it should’ve been called is Mahomes is the best, and Kyler Murray likes to play video games instead of watching game film. People like to praise Murray, and I agree, he’s a great athlete, but he has not shown anything to justify being a top 5 NFL Quarterback. That could change, but he still has a long ways to go.

The game I bet on, was the Falcons vs the Saints. I bet the underdog and got screwed by the Falcons defense not holding up for the entire game. Mariota looked decent, but didn't do enough to pull out the win.

As far as Monday Night Football goes, I was not surprised that the Seahawks won. Wacky Wilson and his weirdo self did not take any reps in preseason which seems to be a theme for all of the teams that struggled week 1. I had a feeling that Seattle wanted to show Wilson that he left them high and dry and the team and the city showed out big time and came away with a huge week 1 win.

Now there were lots of other games, but those were the ones that really stood out to me. We have Thursday night football tonight with the Chiefs and Chargers which should be a great game. I am not sure who to pick, but I have not been lucky so far with bets so we will see. Let me know in the comments what your bets are this week.
